About The BoHo

The BoHo has been many things through the years: a single family home, a rooming house, a boarding house, a nursing home, and more. For many years the home was a "traditional" Victorian-styled BnB, adopting the moniker already familiar in local heritage circles, Scholefield House, after renown original resident (1892), Ethelbert Scholefield, one of our province's original librarian/archivists.

In 2022 we embarked on a renovation (scroll our Insta) to upgrade the services, infrastructure, soundproofing, safety, and decor. We've loved making this place our home, and we enjoy sharing it with friends, family, and guests.

The BoHo is 134 years old this year, so it can creak a little. The soundproofing has been much improved but our windows and doors, walls and floors still won't seal you in like a modern concrete condo. The ceilings are high and the rooms airy, furnished with things we've found and things we love. You'll most likely meet other guests or one of us in the library or foyer. We look forward to saying hello!

FOOOOD?

Oh yes, we are a BnB and will serve you a light continental breakfast in our main floor dining room. Our dining room opens at 8 am and closes at 9 am every morning. You'll be at our dining table with other guests, and maybe us too.

The BoHo is historical, and it's restful, whimsical, and delightful too! We trust it will treat you well!

What our guests are saying:

Great stay! We loved the decor!
The place had everything we needed and more for a 2 night stay.
Would 100% stay again!
